Welcome to my Lowrance GPS guide for Geocaching. First off I am not affiliated with Lowrance or have any interests in them other than the fact I use and like their products. My idea for this Blog/ Guide is to have an online space to post information I have learned through help from other Lowrance users, GPS enthusiasts, and my personal use of the unit. I am hoping the comment feature will allow two way interchange of info, making the guide more complete.

I have a Lowrance AirMap 500, in land mode it is identical in operation to an i-Finder Pro. I've used Mapcreate 6.2, and currently use Mapcreate's newer version, 6.3 Topo. Since most of Lowrance's products have similar features, menu operation, and waypoint management, I hope what I do know will be useful to someone new to using Lowrance units, and with the comment feature, others can add their knowledge as well. I will be posting info, trying to make each post on a certain topic relating to Lowrance operation, Geocaching, and both.
